A Jewish Hero
Named Adir Zik

(Originally published by on February 16, 2005)

On the Hebrew date of 27 Shvat 5765 (February 6, 2005), the Jewish people lost one of the most noble and saintly heroes of our generation, Adir Zik, zecher tzadik livracha (may the memory of this saint be immortalized).

The 66-year-old Zik died of cancer after bravely battling the disease for six long years.

Adir was born into a non-religious family that immigrated to Eretz Yisrael (the Land of Israel) from Eastern Europe. Although Adir himself was a tzabar (Israeli-born), the heavy influence of Eastern European Jewish culture and tradition was apparent in his behavior and thinking.

PLO Muslim terrorist incitement against innocent Jews - and its inevitable consequences - An Israeli soldier (l.) patroling the dangerous streets of Hebron was confronted with a poster bearing a PLO flag and purporting to depict an "innocent" Arab surrounded by "brutal" Israeli soldiers; on February 4, 2005, an Arab Muslim terrorist attacked soldiers in Hebron, wounding four, one seriously.

As a young boy, Adir was a member of the extreme left-wing HaShomer Hatzair - a viciously anti-religious and anti-nationalist group.

One day, young Adir announced to his parents that he wanted to do tshuva (return) - which in Jewish religious parlance means to become a Torah-observant Jew.

Adir wanted to leave his anti-religious school in order to enroll in a Bnai Akiva institution. Bnai Akiva is a religious Zionist youth movement.

Adir's parents agreed to place him in Bnai Akiva and Adir became a Torah-observant Jew.

After serving and fighting in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Adir went to the University of California in the early 1960s to study television and radio broadcasting. Adir was sent to study in California by Bnai Akiva, which wanted him to become their television and radio broadcasting expert.

When he returned to Israel after his studies, Adir became one of the founders of Israeli television - which did not exist until the late 1960s.

Arab Muslim terrorists demand freedom for Arab Muslim terrorists (February 11, 2005) - At the Dome of the Rock mosque in Jerusalem, where Muslims hope to witness the annihilation of the tiny Jewish homeland, Arab women (l.) marched waving the Islamic terrorist flag and demanding freedom for Arab Muslim terrorists jailed in comfortable Israeli prisons. In the PLO-controlled areas of Judea and Samaria, Arab Muslim terrorists (c.) marched openly and brandished weapons making the same demand. One demonstrator was Zacharia Zubeidi (r.), a wanted terrorist mass murderer who is also a close associate of PLO terrorist leader Mahmoud Abbas.

Adir produced and directed many early Israeli television programs, and also created many outstanding Israeli documentaries.

Despite being a religious nationalist, Adir was so talented that the left-wing Israeli television and film industry was willing to work with him to create nonpolitical television programs and documentaries on Jewish history, Israeli history, Judaism, Zionism and Jewish cultural life.

This took place in the 1960s and 1970s, when even the Israeli left wanted Israel and the Jewish people to survive.

Today, no religious nationalist could ever work for the Israeli Bolshevik news media, which is obsessively committed to dismembering the Jewish homeland and destroying the 4,000-year-old dream of redeeming the Land of Israel for the Jewish people.

In the 1980s, the vile self-hatred of Israeli Bolshevik "journalists" became so poisonous that Adir found it increasingly difficult to work within the Israeli television industry. Adir tried to influence television programs that he worked on to be pro-Israel and pro-Jewish, but it eventually became apparent that his influence was rapidly declining.

The early days of Arutz 7 - A motor launch carried the pirate radio station's employees and visitors to its studios on the Eretz HaTzvi ("The Lovely Land," a synonym for Israel)

Finally, in June 1992, Adir left the Israeli Bolshevik media to broadcast a new one-hour weekly program on a pirate Israeli radio station called Arutz 7.

Arutz 7 was founded by religious Zionists from Yesha (Judea, Samaria and the Gaza District) who realized that they would never be given permission to legally broadcast in Israel - because only left-wing traitors are allowed to broadcast in the Jewish homeland.

So Arutz 7 bought a ship and broadcast from off of Israel's coastline. However, they also had an "illegal" studio in Beit El, a Yesha Jewish community.

Adir Zik is gone but his spirit lives on - Hilltop Youth leader Noam Federman's spokesman Itamar Ben Gvir and his wife Yael attend a demonstration against the suicidal surrender policies of left-wing "right-wing" fraud Ariel Sharon

At first, Adir Zik's bold decision to leave Israeli television in order to do a weekly program on an "illegal," pirate Israeli radio station was widely ridiculed and laughed at by Israeli Bolshevik "journalists."

Who would listen to a bunch of right-wing Jews speaking on a pirate radio station, they arrogantly asked. Surely, the audience for Arutz 7 will only be comprised of a few right-wing "nuts," they confidently predicted.

However, as usual, the arrogant Bolshevik "experts" were proven completely wrong.

Over 40 large Jewish families now live in the beautiful Hilltop Youth community of Migron in Yesha

Hundreds of thousands of Israeli Jews - thirsting for an alternative to the self-hating Bolshevik monopoly on the Israeli news media - eagerly listened to Arutz 7.

Adir Zik's weekly program - called Zikukin Im Adir Zik (Fireworks With Adir Zik, a Hebrew pun on his name) - instantly became the most popular show on Arutz 7.

Adir condemned the Marxist Rabin-Peresite regime as "traitors" and "Bolsheviks," condemned the Israeli news media as liars and frauds, and called upon Israelis to actively resist the Oslo agreements made with the PLO terrorist mass murderers.

In November 1995, when the treasonous Bolshevik dictator Yitzchak Rabin, yimach shmo vezichro (may his name and memory be obliterated), was assassinated, the Israeli media sought to blame Adir Zik for "inciting the atmosphere" that led to the assassination.

Avishai Raviv, Israeli Bolshevik agent provocateur - Avishai Raviv, posing as a right-wing Jewish "extremist," was a paid agent of Israel's secret service charged with the mission of perpetrating acts of "right-wing Zionist violence" which the government and media could blame on their right-wing opponents. Raviv deliberately made outlandish statements at many demonstrations, engaged in random acts of violence as the leader of a "goon squad," produced deliberately counterproductive propaganda against the regime of Marxist Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin and even assisted an Israeli television reporter, later exposed as a Shabak (Israeli KGB) agent himself, to produce a video for left-wing Israeli television purporting to show the initiation ritual of a "secret right-wing Zionist assassination gang" - a video gobbled up by the Bolshevik Israeli media without any question as to its source or authenticity. After the Rabin assassination, the media demanded Raviv's head on a plate until the news surfaced that he was a Shabak agent, at which time all media inquiry into him was dropped.

The Bolshevik media labeled Adir "the national inciter."

Adir then set out to prove that the Israeli government, the news media and the Shabak (the Israeli KGB) actually incited the assassination.

Adir proved that Shabak agent Avishai Raviv convinced Yigal Amir, a young religious law student, to assassinate Rabin.

"Be a man! Kill him already!" Raviv told Amir in front of numerous witnesses on many occasions.

Amir was the perfect assassin for the Shabak.

He was religious, so the Shabak and the Israeli establishment could point to him as an example of how the religious are assassins.

And he was Mizrachi (of Sephardi or non-European descent), another group which the Shabak, the news media and the Israeli left detest, even though Mizrachim are now roughly 50% of all Israeli Jews.

One of Avishai Raviv's most infamous creations - A T-shirt bearing an image of late Israeli Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin dressed as a Nazi SS officer - an image which was used by the Bolshevik Israeli government and left-wing media to claim right-wing Jews were "inciting violence" against Rabin and other advocates of Israeli surrender. (To this day, despite the Shabak's admission in sworn testimony before an Israeli government commission on the Rabin assassination that its agent Raviv was responsible for the poster, the Israeli media still regularly assigns the blame to right-wing Jews.)

Israeli Bolshevik agent provocateur Avishai Raviv poses with a pistol - He telephoned Israeli media taking credit for the killing of an Arab shopkeeper in Hebron, sparking a gleeful left-wing firestorm of condemnation against right-wing Jewish "extremists." Marxist Israeli Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin told the nation: "Whoever thinks that an attack on an innocent Palestinian [sic] will stop the [suicidal Oslo "peace"] process is mistaken." Nine days after the killing, police arrested the self-confessed killers, four Arabs surprised by the shopkeeper during a robbery.

While the Shabak did not want Amir to actually kill Rabin, they did want Amir to unsuccessfully attempt to kill him - so that they could catch Amir before the killing took place, thereby "proving" that the religious, the Mizrachim and the right-wing are all violent assassins.

But something went wrong with the Shabak plan, and Amir did succeed in assassinating Rabin.

Adir Zik was the person who exposed all of these facts, thereby wrecking the Shabak-news media conspiracy to smear the religious, the Mizrachim and the right-wing.

Playing the same old game of "smear the religious" - Concocting stories about right-wing "plots" against his government, Ariel Sharon has promised to crack down on Jewish "extremists" appalled by his suicidal plan to create an Arab Muslim terrorist state in the Jewish heartland. (Last week, as yet another "goodwill" gesture to Arab Muslim terrorism, Sharon released another 500 Arab Muslim terrorists imprisoned in Israeli jails.)

In the 2001 Israeli Knesset (Parliament) elections, Adir Zik supported Jewish hero Baruch Marzel's candidacy for the Knesset.

Unfortunately, aside from Adir Zik, the rest of Arutz 7 supported Marzel's phony "right-wing" rivals in the National Union Party (HaIchud HaLeumi).

Arutz 7 refused to allow Adir to express support on his radio program for Baruch Marzel, who was narrowly defeated in his 2001 race for the Knesset - Baruch (l.) is shown with fellow Jewish pioneers protesting in July 2003 against a meeting between Bolshevik Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and PLO terrorist leader Mahmoud Abbas

Arutz 7's management did not allow Adir to urge his many listeners on his weekly radio program to vote for Marzel.

Thus, the vast majority of Arutz 7 listeners voted for the National Union Party, and Marzel narrowly lost his Knesset race.

Through the darkest days of despair during the evil Oslo negotiations in the 1990s, Adir Zik gave hope and inspiration to hundreds of thousands of Israeli Jews to continue the struggle to save the Land of Israel.

In the past year, even as he was dying of terminal cancer, Adir Zik's beautiful faith, love and courage never wavered.

Adir fought for Israel right up until his death - Adir, pictured, spoke at a rally protesting Sharon's anti-democratic decision to shut down Arutz 7 and to file a criminal indictment against all of its major talk show hosts, himself included

He never stopped broadcasting on the internet and never stopped writing his weekly right-wing newspaper column, right up until a few days before his death.

He always ended his broadcasts and his columns with the phrase, "Don't worry, Jews, with G-d's help, we will win!"

In his final column - written from this death bed in the hospital, only three days before he passed away - he wrote about his last days:

"I am receiving excellent medical care and I am surrounded by Jewish kindness. A blessed Sabbath, Jews. With G-d's help, we will win!"

It is difficult to put into words the courage, the nobility, the love and the faith that this magnificent Jew exemplified.

These are the types of heroic Jews that JTF is allied with in Israel. Adir Zik was the main Israeli fundraiser for the Hilltop Youth, just as JTF is the main U.S. fundraiser for the Hilltop Youth.

What an honor it has been to work with saintly giants like this!

We will always love you, Adir Zik, zecher tzadik livracha.

And we will never forget your immortal words: "With G-d's help, we will win!"

JTF supports the political activities of the Hilltop Youth, and therefore is not tax-exempt.

The Voice of Jewish Activism (VJA) is strictly non-political. It supports the educational efforts and the humanitarian needs of the Hilltop Youth and right-wing Jewish dissidents and therefore is tax-exempt.

Your generous checks and money orders made out to "VJA" can be sent to:

We need loyal, idealistic, Torah-true Jews to lead the struggle against the traitor Sharon's suicidal retreat.

We have the Torah-true leaders and we have the thousands of young idealists. But they need more money to conduct such a huge and sophisticated campaign.

Adir was a saint and an inspiration to hundreds of thousands of right-wing Israeli Jews, whom he filled with hope for the future of their homeland - At a January 2005 demonstration before the Knesset in Jerusalem, a right-wing Israeli Jew, wearing an orange Star of David, protests Ariel Sharon's suicidal policies

In the historic struggle for Israel's survival, this is the moment of truth.

Which is why we strongly urge our many loyal readers - both Jews and righteous Gentiles - to immediately do the following four things:

First, if you are a wealthy Jew or a wealthy righteous Gentile, and you have wealthy friends and associates, you can hold a fundraising cocktail party for JTF (which is political but not tax-exempt) or VJA (which is tax-exempt and non-political). Even if you are not wealthy - but have wealthy friends and associates - you can organize a cocktail party. If you wish to hold a cocktail party, please contact us.

Second, make out a generous check or money order (which can be anonymous) to "JTF" or "VJA" and send it out right away. If you prefer, you can also mail a cash donation.

Third, zealously spread the word about the web site. Posting portions of on popular internet message boards is especially effective. We do get many new hits when we are posted.

Fourth, please remember to include the "Jewish Task Force (JTF)" and/or the "Voice of Jewish Activism (VJA)" in your will.
